The 42 league players were sorted by their ranking points this season as of an hour ago. Splitting them down the middle, we now have two groups of 21 players in each of the new league cup competitions.
With the format being knockout and the first round requiring 16 players, 5 players from each group will need to be eliminated in a qualifying round.
